Here is one of the race photos of me from Sunday’s BAA 5k. It’s the best of the four, perhaps because I don’t look like I’m walking and also due to my face being concealed by an “O”.
This is me crossing the Boston Marathon finish line about 30 hours or so before everything changed. It was thrilling to run down Hereford and make the turn onto Boylston and that was only for a 5k.
I am so sorry that my friends and fellow runners were robbed from experiencing that thrill yesterday after so many months of hard work. I can only hope that you will get the opportunity again to experience the elation that one must feel crossing that line after giving it all you’ve got for 26.2 miles. And I hope that I can join you.
