Another hot treadmill run is in the books.
Before I set off on this run, I decided to look at my Garmin report through yesterday as that would mark half a year’s worth of activities. This represents all activities as I haven’t been good about classifying walks as walks, so everything is listed as a run. It should be interesting to see where my mileage ends up through the end of the year. As I will be training for another marathon, I imagine the second half will end up close to the same as the first half.
I decided to watch Extreme Weight Loss while I was doing my run today. That show is quite inspiring. On that note, I want to tell you guys how proud of the husband I am. He has been in quite a rut. Last week he weighed himself and found that he was at an all-time high. Since then, he has been going to the gym and being more conscious of his eating (I’ve apparently been picking up the slack). This morning, he weighed himself and he was down 9 pounds! I know it’s only been a few days, but it always starts with one day. You string those days together, and the results add up!
I don’t have any problem making sure to get my runs in, but (broken record alert) I do need to make some corrections with the eating. Hopefully, if the husband cleans up his diet, we will be able to enable each other differently. We are the worst enablers when it comes to bad eating. So, hopefully the same will be the case with good eating. What better gift can we give to each other than to inspire each other to be healthier?
Hope you all have a great start to the week!
