Philly Marathon Training W11D2
Today solidified the fact that I am clueless as to how I should dress when running outside unless it’s summer. I wore this long sleeve shirt/jacket(?) thingy. After a mile and a half, I was quite toasty. But, it just would not have been advisable to remove it and run in just my sports bra. Anywho, other than being a bit uncomfortably warm, all was a-okay on this run.
Today was my first strength workout. It was 6 x 1 mile intervals with a target pace slightly better than marathon pace (10:40) with 400 recovery and a warm-up and cooldown mile. I was pretty happy with how I did and felt. Much more enjoyable for me than the speed workouts. The only problem I have is with the additional volume, my alarm goes off even earlier.
No worries though because tomorrow is one of my favorite days of the week. No, I am not referring to Prince spaghetti day. I am referring to rest day Wednesday!
